Contributions to the Greater Steuben Chapter American Red Cross enables us to support our extensive volunteer organization and to provide vital services to New Yorkers in need. Thousands of dedicated men, women and young adults serve as Red Cross volunteers. They respond to calls all over Steuben County and teach courses, ranging from the fundamentals of first-aid to highly sophisticated lifesaving methods, assist with community outreach and education, provide logistic support and much more.

Additionally, we are classified as a publicly supported organization and are exempt from federal income taxes of the Internal Revenue Code under Section 501(c) (3). The budget of the Greater Steuben Chapter American Red Cross is annually approved by a volunteer Board of Trustees. The financial operations of The Greater Steuben Chapter American Red Cross are reviewed and appropriately adjusted on a regular basis. An annual audit is performed.
