Give Blood

Find a drive and make your appointment.

Americans are known for springing into action to help others in times of need. So when patients at hospitals across America must receive blood, it comes as no surprise that it is their own neighbors who supply it. It’s the American way — people helping people. With Red Cross as your partner, you can help make sure that hospitals and their patients always have an adequate and safe supply of blood to meet needs, simply by giving blood regularly.

Picture yourself giving this cost-free — yet priceless — gift of life, and take the first step toward making it a reality.

The Food and Drug administration guidlines are available for your review. Eligibility Guide Rev 2005.pdf.

In New York State, 16 year olds are eligible to donate blood provided they have an original signed or faxed copy of the New York State Informed Parental Permission for a 16-Year-Old to Donate Whole Blood. To obtain a copy of this form, Print a copy for yourself!
